2008–2009 Program

Economic factors are essential for understanding the character of Jewish existence. This year's topic is relevant to anyone who is interested in learning about some of the richest and most basic phenomena of Jewish life, such as how Jews have earned their livelihoods, developed new trades, and created businesses and industries. In Spring 2009, the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies offers lectures on Jews and economic life. The following events are free and open to the public.
